Jojoba oil (pronounced ho-ho ba) is made from the bean of a desert plant. It is extremely high in these similar esters and it is DEEPLY penetrating, soothing and healing to the skin. Other plant oils when applied to the skin mostly just smear around and sit on the surface. On the contrary, Jojoba penetrates all layers of the skin which also makes it a great catalyst to help other oils it is mixed with penetrate more deeply. Jojoba Oil is an excellent cosmetic ingredient. Add 1/4 teaspoon per cup to shampoos for conditioning action. Add 1 teaspoon per cup to liquid soap for deep pore cleansing. Add 1/2 teaspoon per cup to cosmetic oils.
